VFCC Class of 97 reunion

Ok.  So we've all been excited about our reunion, only to find out it's not listed on VFCC's website. (Thanks for the info Sara Munyan!!)  I called the alumni office and she said noone from our class has contacted her to plan one.  Needless to say, I'm going to help plan it and even though we are not listed as having one, it will be updated on the website shortly and you will receive a letter in the mail.  Friends from other classes are able to attend, just hand write class of 97 on your registration form. Does anyone remember who our class president that year was??  Allison Berger or Aaron Taylor??  Abby Cyr??

I'm going to contact Rainchildren and the old Somethings to perform.  Hopefully they will say yes because the school said that would be great!!!!  Please make sure the school has your updated email and home address (610-935-0450 ask for Christy in the alumni office).  Pass this on to all alumni that you know.  Ten years is too long and we can't wait to see you there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I've been lost.  Sorry it's been so long.

Christmas was beautiful, a little warm though.  My son asked me in all sincerity if Santa was real or did we just buy the presents.  I beat around the bush a little while and he said "Please just tell me the truth".  He then said "Who's more important?  Santa and presents or Jesus' birthday?".  I finally told him and now we have to constantly remind him NOT to tell his sister.  She doesn't believe him anyway.

I just returned from an ASCI conference in NC.  It was so inspiring and amazing!  Being a christian educator is such a privilege.  I came home last night and my "baby", Noah, had already left for his first camp experience.  He went to the PK/MK retreat.  I can hardly believe it.  He's been telling his friends about going.  They were teasing him that he was going to a pre-k camp. Actually for those of you who do not know, the district sponsors a retreat for pastor's and missionary's kids.  They have a speaker for services, and on Sat.  they go to an amusement park.  The most incredible part is, it costs nothing.  The district pays for it all.

Also, even though I haven't blogged in a while.  I still read them.  Melissa, I laughed out loud at you comment about Brubaker's daughter.  Susan, your son is adorable.  Jessie, your babies look so sweet.  Sheri and Teri, miss you.  Sara, did you leave xangaland to get lost in myspace?

Last week we went on vacation.  Part of the time we spent with "Uncle Tim" and his wife Dottie.  We had so much fun.  We rode his boat to Hooper's Restaurant in OC and on the way back we saw dolphins surrounding our boat.  We had Fisher's popcorn and visited old friends!  The days prior, we stayed at a friend's beach house in Avalon NJ.  It was so beautiful there.  Noah learned to boogie board and Summer loved playing in the water.  John's parents came and we also brought Ashley (a girl from our church).  We watched a movie on the beach.  That was an awesome experience.  God provided our housing for the entire time.  We also took the Cape May-Lewes Ferry.  Sea sickness was a definite possibility there.  Memories to treasure for a lifetime.

We went to the public pool today.  I'm working for our school and I had two other kids with me.  As we're standing at the check in, the lifeguard yells for everyone to leave.  No joke, there was a fire in the pool house.  The firetrucks came and they closed for the day.  Three hours later, I took my kids for ice cream.  We were sitting outside and I saw smoke coming from  mulch beside the road.  It looked like a small area of the mulch was on fire.  We kept looking at it trying to figure it out, when a girl threw a bucket of water on it.  Ten seconds later, a firetruck came and sprayed it again.  What are the odds?
